        How do competitions work?

        Each arena has a fixed buy-in, a maximum number of entrants and a set duration. Every trader starts with the same trading balance and trades perpetual futures until the clock runs out. Final balances are ranked and the prize pool is paid out by the arena's payout table.

        Can I lose more than my buy-in?

        No. Your maximum loss is your buy-in. If your balance is liquidated, your run in that arena ends, but you'll never owe anything extra.

        How are winners determined?

        By final account equity when the arena closes, including unrealised PnL on open positions. If two traders tie, the one who reached that equity first ranks higher.

        How do payouts work?

        The prize pool is the sum of all buy-ins minus the platform fee. It's split between top finishers according to the payout table shown on the arena before you join, and settles automatically to your wallet.

        When can I withdraw my winnings?

        As soon as the arena settles, which usually takes a few minutes after it closes. Winnings land in your connected wallet and are yours to move.

        Is this gambling?

        Catapult is a skill-based competition: results come from your trading decisions, not random draws. Availability depends on local regulations, so check that competitive trading is permitted where you live.

        Is my wallet secure?

        Catapult is non-custodial. We never ask for or hold your private keys or seed phrase. Buy-ins sit in an on-chain escrow contract until the arena settles.

        Are there leverage limits?

        Major markets go up to 75x. More volatile assets have lower caps, and arena hosts can set a lower maximum for their competition.

        Can I trade multiple pairs?

        Yes. You can hold positions on any market listed in the arena at the same time, all drawing on your single arena balance.

        What happens if I get liquidated?

        Your positions close and you're out of that arena. You still keep the participation XP you earned, and you can join another competition right away.
